Today we spent some quality time up in Redmond hanging out at the BrightSide 30th Anniversary party – and it was a blast! The weather was a bit exciting at times – big wind gusts caused vendor’s tents and materials to fly away throughout the day, but the Oregon Paws table was anchored down with big volcanic rocks and a massive trick-or-treat pumpkin filled with lolly-pops.
Kaydee’s goal for the day was to raise $305 to give to BrightSide for their birthday. We didn’t quite make it, but got over half-way there when we donated $156 in cash at the end of the day.
We even sold two of our new hats while at the party! They are available for $25 in the online store too. Almost $10 from each hat sale goes to the shelters – and they look super cool.
As if donating to local animal charities wasn’t enough stoke for one day, we also got to meet lots of awesome new friends ( human and furry ), and even saw one of our stickers on a random car parked nearby:
Hey everybody, we have some exciting updates for you this October! First up, we have distributed stickers around Central Oregon to non-profits, and some stores, where you can buy them in person. Stickers are currently available at the following locations:
Dudley’s Bookshop & Cafe – Downtown Bend
Bend Spay + Neuter Project – Wilson Ave, Bend
Humane Society of Central Oregon on 27th/Knot, Bend
BrightSide Animal Center – Redmond
Stickers are $5 there too – and when you purchase at one of the non-profits, 100% of the revenue goes directly to them ( especially if you buy with cash! ).
At both events you can checkout our new product too:
Oregon Paws Trucker Hats!
We have added a new product to the lineup – trucker hats with the Oregon Paws logo! Kaydee and Teagan ( and Sampson ) have been beta testing the product the past month. They are stylish, functional, and just awesome:
We should have 4 hats with us at the event in Redmond tomorrow – or you can check them out and buy right here on the website: Trucker Hats!
Thanks again for supporting the project. You have helped us raise over $1200 for local non profit animal charities.
Oregon Paws stickers can now be found around Bend at a few locations for those that would like to purchase some in person instead of doing so online! The Humane Society of Central Oregon will be selling stickers at the shelter on 27th/Knott Road and at a few upcoming events around Bend:
And our good friends at Dudley’s Bookshop Cafe have stickers for sale right at the cash register – so stop in for a great cup of coffee, a book, and a sticker all at once!
The entire Crawford clan worked to catch up on a backlog of orders this past weekend… paw print stamps were pressed on envelopes, thank you notes were written, and my tongue became tacky from licking too many envelopes. But it brought a huge smile to my face to see everyone helping out with the project on a hot smokey Sunday afternoon in Bend.
Kaydee made sure to spread the donation love to both dogs and cats, and bought a bunch of kitten toys, food and formula from the wish list. In the photo above, her head is resting on a bag of shredded paper from her school… donating shredded paper to the shelter is an easy way to help out and turn your waste into something of use.
The folks at the shelter were very happy to see the girls with the donations on Monday.
The other big news is that I updated the project’s spreadsheet today, and we have now raised over $1,000!!! We are hoping to reach out to other shelters in the area and see how we can donate to best help with their needs.
We are also starting to see the stickers around town. If you have a sticker, and have put it on something, send us a picture!
Stay tuned for more updates regarding where to find stickers in stores around Central Oregon! Again thanks everyone for the support, and being a part of making positive change in our community.
Hey everybody!! Happy Eclipse Madness Weekend! We have some friends in town and yesterday Kaydee’s project was featured in The Bend Bulletin! Big thank you to Peter Madsen for the great article and Andy Tullis for the fun photos. I loved especially how Peter is perpetuating the joke about the emoji poop sticker… thinking we have to actually do that now.
The response to the article has been amazing, almost overwhelming! We have a TON of new orders, and are currently back-ordered on stickers. We will order up more stickers on Monday and hope to ship out all the orders by the end of the week.
Here are some action shots from the fulfillment room in operation today:
